All SIM cards must be re-registered by March 2022 to avoid getting blocked – Ursula urges.

The Minister for Communication and Digitalization, Ursula Owusu Ekuful has urged Ghanaians on the need for all mobile SIM cards to be re-registered to avoid getting blocked latest by March 31, 2022.

The member of parliament for Ablekuma West constituency took to her Facebook post about the re-registration of SIM cards which will commence on October 1 2021, and operation will continue for six months.

She encouraged every Ghanaian to take part in the re-registration of their SIM cards to avoid any inconveniences of getting their SIM cards blocked.

According to her, this exercise will allow the monitoring and tracking down of individuals who use their phones for illegal activities and put an end to cyberspace fraud.
